Project Name: Distortion Series
Location: Mexico City
Completion Year: 2009
Media: Bronze
This body of work explores how the use of exaggeration and distortion in the human anatomy can allow us to represent emotions. Altering the proportion of a facial feature can alter our perceptions of what is real and impact how we perceive reality, distance and perspective.
This series seeks to represent motion; motion implies the passing of time by creating the appearance of various time frames within the sculpture, so that the piece has a beginning and an end, a past and a future.
